After Care

CombLine After Care Instructions

Do not wash hair, use a straightener(hot iron), apply a chemical treatment and only gently brush hair from mid length onwards  for at least 24 hours after the application.

What to expect after application

When first brushing the hair from root to end  their will be excess hair in the bush this is due to excess hair shedding from the installation.

The client will also shed about 3-5 % in the first week to 10 days this is just loose hair that has not been glued and some bonded hair that has not attached properly (this needs to come out),  this is normal,  from then on it will settle down and the client will lose hair as they would with any extension shedding with their own hair.

It is very important to Brush hair from root end over the bonds.

Shampooing your Hair:  Shampoo your hair gently massaging from the top to the bottom in a downwards motion. Do not use a circular motion on your scalp when shampooing.

Conditioning you hair: After you have placed conditioner on your hair, comb the conditioner through your hair gently.

Drying your hair: Pat dry your hair with a towel using long stokes.

Brushing your hair: Brush your hair from root to end and over the bonds.

Before you go to bed: If you have long extensions you need to plait your hair in a loose plait.

Bonds: It is important not to touch or pick at the bonds excessively this can cause the bonds to break down and discolour.

Shedding: On average we lose approximately 150 strands of hair from our head a day this is called shedding,  shedding is a natural and normal occurrence, so as with all hair extension applications including the CombLine application some of your extension hair will shed with you own hair, this extension hair can be placed in a CombLine hair Clip ensuring that the bonded end is placed in the top of the clip and can be re-used.
